Rowing Ends Season in Sixth at NCAA Division II Championships
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Thomas Jefferson University women's rowing team completes their 2024-25 campaign with the NCAA Division II Championships on Mercer Lake this Friday and Saturday. The Rams finished sixth in the team standings.
Emrby-Riddle took home the eight while placing third in the fours, giving them enough points to win their first national title in program history. The Eagles earned 26 points, edging out Cal-Ploy Humboldt who earned 24.

* Emrby-Riddle jumped out early in the first 500 meters but Humboldt went ahead in the 1000 meters and never looked back. The Rams were only two seconds behind the Lumberjacks in the 500 meters. Jefferson was not able to stay in the pack with their oppositions, conserving their energy for the repechage later in the day*

* The Rams were in the third spot in the first 500 meters, only two seconds behind Embry-Riddle and one second from Seattle Pacific. The boats began to pull away, with Central Oklahoma jumping out ahead of the Rams at the 1500 meter mark. Jefferson placed fourth in the event, only being three seconds behind the Broncos. *

* Jefferson got out to an early lead in the first 500 meters, winning by two seconds. The Broncos began to climb back, cutting the Rams lead by .320 seconds at the 1500-meter mark. Jefferson slowly began to pull away from Central Oklahoma, holding onto the win in the Petite Final and placing fifth in the Eights. *
