Four Rams Secure Weekly Awards


NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University had four Rams recognized this week as women's and men's cross country, women's soccer, and women's tennis took home Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Awards for competition that rank through September 8-14. Olivia Grahn was named CACC Co-Runner and Co-Rookie of the Week for women's cross country, Dylan Boyle earned CACC Rookie of the Week for men's cross country, Kyra Lesko secured CACC Player of the Week, and Anouk Oderkerk was given Rookie of the Week recognition. 

OLIVIA GRAHN – CO-RUNNER AND CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 
Grahn earns her third and fourth weekly award in two weeks for women's cross country. She led Jefferson in placement as she took 13th at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge. Grahn was the second highest freshman on the day in 6000 m event while being the top CACC runner on the day. 

DYLAN BOYLE – ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 
Boyle receives his third weekly award of the year and his career. He was the highest finishing runner for the Rams on Saturday. Boyle also was the highest freshman to place in the event at fourth, with the second closest being at 21st. He was also the highest finishing CACC runner on the day as well. 

KYRA LESKO – PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Lesko earns her second career weekly award while women's soccer receives their first of the year. She scored two goals and added an assist as she helped the Rams go 2-1 on the week. Lesko began with 3 shots attempted against West Chester. She followed it up with a weekend down at Wilmington, where she scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 win over Southern New Hampshire. Lesko ended her time on the field with another goal as Jefferson defeated Saint Anselm 2-0. 

ANOUK ODERKERK – ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 
Oderkerk takes home her first weekly award of her career and gives women's tennis their first of the season. She began her collegiate career against Goldey-Beacom College, where she won her doubles and singles matches. Oderkerk singles victory was the first contest completed of the six being played, sweeping her opponent in straight sets without losing one herself. 

The Rams will get themselves ready for action this week. Women's tennis heads on the road to Dominican (N.Y.) on Tuesday, September 16, women's soccer hosts Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday, September 17, and both men's and women's cross country heads to Stockton University to compete in the Osprey Open on Saturday, September 20.
