Baseball Selected Second in NCBWA East Region Preseason Poll
 
QUEENS, N.Y. - Thomas Jefferson University baseball team was picked second in the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Preseason poll, released on Monday. Jefferson also earned two first-place votes as well.
 
The Rams are coming off best season in program history as they finished with a 40-17 record, breaking school records, being the top seed in the CACC Championship Tournament, and making the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year. Jefferson set their mark as the top-seed in the East Region and was the host institution for the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
Felician University, the reigning NCAA East Region champions that made it to the College World Series, took the first place position with 79 points and seven first-place votes. Bentley University comes in at third with 60 points.
 
Molloy University, the reigning East Coast Conference (ECC) champion, appears in fourth place with 59 points while Franklin Pierce University, the team Jefferson went up against in the first round of the Tournament and took on the Golden Falcons in the East Region Final, slated at fifth as they had 58 points to round out the top five teams.
 
Wilmington University (Del.) (51), the reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) champions, and Southern New Hampshire University (42) earned the sixth and seventh spot respectively. Goldey-Beacom College (37), Dominican University (N.Y.) (21) and the reigning Northeast 10 (NE10) champions Pace University (15) finish the top-10.
