Philadelphia, Pa., (July 7, 2026) — Thomas Jefferson University, as announced by Assistant Vice President for Athletics Corey Goff, has named Jack Goodwillie as its new Director of Athletic Communications.
Goodwillie brings extensive NCAA communications experience spanning media relations, content creation, digital media, branding, and event operations. Most recently, he served as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications at Whittier College, where he directed communications efforts for 20 varsity programs, managed game day operations, and led the department's content, social media, and branding initiatives. Previously, he served as Director of Sports Information and Marketing at Caltech, overseeing communications for 16 varsity programs and helping increase annual web traffic by more than 110 percent through strategic content and marketing efforts. He also brings professional experience as a freelance content editor for Static Media.
"Jack brings tremendous experience and a forward thinking approach to athletic communications," Goff said. "What immediately stood out throughout the search process was his attention to detail, his sincerity, and his genuine passion for this work. He understands that athletic communications is about much more than statistics and press releases. It is about telling the stories of our student athletes, coaches, and programs in a way that is authentic, impactful, and reflective of who we are as an institution. His creativity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence will be invaluable as we continue to Redefine Possible and elevate the Jefferson Athletics brand."
As a member of the Athletics senior administration team, Goodwillie will provide leadership for all aspects of Jefferson's athletics communications and storytelling efforts. He will direct the department's media relations, digital content strategy, statistical reporting, live event coverage, and public relations initiatives while overseeing the athletics website and social media platforms. Working collaboratively across the department, Goodwillie will play a key role in enhancing the visibility of Jefferson's student athletes and programs, supporting recruitment and engagement efforts, and advancing the strategic priorities of Jefferson Athletics.
A Philadelphia native and graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Goodwillie returns home with a strong appreciation for the local collegiate athletics landscape and a vision for continued growth within Jefferson Athletics.
"I am both thrilled and humbled by the opportunity to lead the communications efforts at such a storied intercollegiate program in the ilk of Thomas Jefferson University," Goodwillie said. "I am incredibly grateful to Corey Goff and the leadership team here at Jefferson Athletics for choosing me for such a special opportunity. Though our time together has been brief, I can honestly say that myself and the rest of the athletics staff are already in lockstep toward achieving our shared vision of making our school a destination place for intercollegiate athletics in the City of Philadelphia — a place I couldn't be more proud to call home again."
