CALDWELL, N.J. (Sept. 18, 2026) – The offense came alive for the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon as the Rams went on the road to beat Caldwell University in the first match of the 2026 CACC schedule.
The Rams earned a cool three points behind goals from
Sophia Henry and
Kadence Decker. It marked the first time Jefferson has scored multiple goals in a game since the season opener at Saint Anselm College. Henry, one of several talented Jefferson senior forwards, opened scoring at the seven-minute mark on a centering pass from classmate
Jamie Webb. Decker's goal came unassisted in the 37th minute.
Defensively, the Rams were every bit as good. Freshman
Ava Brochon, for the third time in as many starts, went the distance and earned a five-save clean sheet, stymieing the Cougars at every opportunity. Even as the physicality reached a new level in the second half, the freshman keeper held strong and took a major step toward establishing herself as a top young goalkeeper in the CACC.
Jefferson have been road warriors so far this season, compiling a 2-1-2 record (1-0 CACC) with all five games being played away from Ravenhill Field. Head Coach Michelle Jaquette and the Rams will at long last make their home debut this season on Tuesday, Sept. 22 against Goldey-Beacom University. Kick-off is set for 3:45 p.m. at Ravenhill.
