Kate Ryan enters her fourth season as head women's lacrosse coach in 2025-26. She also works in the financial aid office on campus.
Ryan's third year as head coach saw the team go 11-8 on the year, 8-1 in conference, and make her second CACC Title game in three years. 
The 2024 season saw the Rams hold a 7-8 record as they made the CACC Championship Quarterfinals. In Ryan's first campaign in 2023, she led the Rams to a 10-9 record and an appearance in the CACC final, where Jefferson suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss.
She has coached 13 Rams to earn All-CACC honors in her three seasons as head coach. One of them during her first year was Ellie Lefton, who racked up 72 assists  to set a new single-season program record and her 106 points tied the all-time mark.She has coached one Goalkeeper of the Year (2025). Ryan has seen her team flourish on the academic side, racking up 27 All-Academic honorees.
Prior to Jefferson, Ryan was on the coaching staff at Findlay for the 2022 season, where she had a hand in preparing practice plans and recruiting. The Oilers reached the Great Midwest Athletic Conference final. Prior, Ryan was an assistant coach for two years at Division I Delaware State.
 
Locally, Ryan has coached the game at the middle school level for NXT Lacrosse Club in Conshohocken. She has also served as a sports performance coach for middle and high school grades at Athletes Arbor in Collegeville.
 
Ryan played collegiately at Division I Monmouth, where she was a Second Team All-MAAC selection on defense in 2018. She was also chosen to the 2018 MAAC All-Tournament Team and was named her team's most valuable player.
 
A native of Morton, PA and a graduate of Springfield High School, Ryan earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Monmouth and later received a master's in sport administration from Delaware State.
