Tim Moyer enters his third season as the head coach of the Rams' volleyball program in the fall of 2017 after being named to the post on March 3, 2015.
In his most recent season with the Rams in 2016, Moyer guided the program to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance after capturing the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) title. The Rams went 29-5 overall inclduing 18-1 in conference play. Corinne Justus and Courtney Wensel grabbed spots on the All-CACC First Team while Alexandra Harrington earned a Second Team selection. Amber Johnson was named to the Third Team.
Moyer made an immediate impact on the Rams in his first season in 2015, leading the team to a 21-7 overall record—a six-win improvement from 2014—the CACC southern division title with a 16-3 conference record and an appearance in the CACC Tournament semifinals. Chelsea Hughes and Corinne Justus earned a place on the All-CACC First Team and Michele Chai was a second team selection. Moyer was honored as the CACC Coach the Year.
Moyer is also the director of coaching development of the GPS CRUSH Volleyball Club in Chalfont, Pa. In this role, Moyer develops technical coaches of team play and advanced strategies for the 15U through 18U teams and handles the training for all athletes.
Before coming to East Falls to coach the Rams, Moyer had five successful seasons at North Penn High School as the head coach of the boy’s volleyball program.
With Moyer at the helm, the Knights posted 61-19 overall record, 28-9 against the Suburban One League (SOL), and qualified for the District 1-AAA playoffs each year. In 2013, North Penn finished third in the District 1-AAA Tournament and reached the PIAA AAA Tournament for the first time in six seasons.
Six different players have been named to the SOL Continental Conference team—including three first team selections—and three Knights earned All-District 1 AAA first team recognition under Moyer’s tutelage. In 2012, Matt Elias represented North Penn on the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association AAA Boys All-State First Team.
Outside of volleyball, Moyer has an extensive strength and conditioning background. For four years, Moyer was the head strength and conditioning coach for the Philadelphia KIXX, including the 2006-07 championship season. Moyer is currently an account manager at Dispense Doc in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
