PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team had one of the best seasons in Division II in 2019-20 and one of the best campaigns in the Rams' history. Unfortunately, Jefferson did not have the opportunity to see how far it could go against the nation's best as the NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Nevertheless, it was an impressive year for the Rams:
- Final Record: 27-4 – most wins since 2009-10, highest winning percentage since 1993-94
- Ranked as high as seventh in the nation during the season, the best since 1995
- Made the NCAA Tournament for the 37th time in program history (31st under Herb Magee) and was the third seed in the East Regional before the tournament's cancellation
- Won their second straight CACC South Division title with an 18-1 conference record and advanced to the CACC Championship Game
- Had an 18-game win streak during the season, their best since 1993-94
- Head Coach Herb Magee earned his 1,100th career victory versus Kutztown on November 19, becoming only the second coach in NCAA history to reach the mark (Duke's Mike Krzyzewski)
- Kylan Guerra was named to the NABC All-America Team, the first Ram to earn the honor since Christian Burns in 2006-07. Guerra was also selected to the NABC East All-District first team and the D2CCA All-East Region first team
- DeVaughn Mallory earned NABC East All-District second team honors
- Four All-CACC players, including Player of the Year Kylan Guerra and DeVaughn Mallory (first team), Josh Bradanese (second team) and Deondre Bourne (third team)
- Herb Magee named CACC and NABC District Coach of the Year
- Seventh straight 20-win season and 37th overall under Magee
- Three 1,000-point scorers on the team: Kylan Guerra, Josh Bradanese, DeVaughn Mallory
- Guerra was one of just three players in Division II to average 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals. He became only the second Ram in program history to reach 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists in his career.
- Had two wins over teams that made the NCAA Tournament (Bridgeport and Dominican)
- Bradanese and Guerra were members of the CACC All-Academic Team
