Orlando, FL- The PhilaU men's and women's
tennis teams fell 6-3, respectively vs. Merrimack College in
Orlando, Florida on Monday afternoon. Freshmen Adrian
Torroella-Cruz (Gainesville, FL/ Gainesville) and
Manoli Sgouros (Forest Hills, NY/ Holy Cross HS)
led the men, while sophomore Adriana Rodriguez
(San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio Sagrados Corazones) keyed the Lady
Ram's points.
The men got points from #1 singles Torroella-Cruz, #2 singles
Sgouros and duo together at #1 doubles.
The women received points from #1 singles Rodriguez, #5 singles
freshman Brittany Villa (Logan, NJ/Kingsway
Regional) and the #1 doubles team of A. Rodriguez/ sophomore
Daniela Rodriguez (Logan, NJ/Kingsway Regional).
Both teams return to action in Orlando tomorrow, March 17th vs.
Franklin and Marshall at 11:00 a.m.
