CACC All-Conference list
Philadelphia, PA- The 2009 CACC Softball
All-Conference team has been announced and the Philadelphia
University Lady Rams have two student-athletes who made the list
this year. The teams are voted on by the CACC head coaches.
PhilaU junior outfielder Jen Richard (Millstone
Twp., NJ/ Allentown) was named to the First Team after leading the
Lady Rams to their first-ever CACC postseason appearance.
Richard is batting a team-high .329 this year, starting in all 41
games. The NJ native has a team-high 47 hits and a .368
on-base percentage. She leads the team in runs (29) and has
eight RBIs.
Freshman pitcher Ali Schmidt (Cordova, MD/
Easton) earned Second Team honors after a sensational rookie
campaign with the Lady Rams. Schmidt is currently ranked
12th in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings
(10.2). She has a 2.10 ERA with 17 wins this year. She
has 255 total strikeouts in 176 innings pitched and has held
opposing batters to a .164 average.
