Women's Soccer Ties #13 Nationally-Ranked C.W. Post

Brookville, NY- The Philadelphia University Lady Rams (2-1-2) played to a 0-0 tie in double overtime on the road against the #13 nationally-ranked C.W. Post Pioneers (3-1-1) on Thursday afternoon.  The match was the second-straight double overtime contest for PhilaU, ironically both were against nationally ranked opponents.

The Lady Rams were outshot 25-7 through 110 rain-soaked minutes.  Sophomore midfielder/forward Gabrielle Haden (Freehold, NJ/ Colts Neck) and freshman midfielder Melissa Copeland (Islip, NY/ East Islip) were the only PhilaU players to take multiple shots.

PhilaU rookie goalie Kelli Kowalewski (Shamong, NY/ Seneca) had nine saves, while CWP's Nicole Fierreo made one stop for the Pioneers.

The Lady Rams return to action this Saturday (9/12) when they travel to Felician College for a 1 p.m. CACC match.
