PhilaU Women's Soccer Plays to 2-2 Double OT Tie

Philadelphia, PA- The #6 east-ranked Philadelphia University women's soccer team (1-1-3, 1-0 CACC) tied a non-conference match 2-2 against #9 C.W. Post College (2-1-2, 0-0 ECC) on Wednesday afternoon at Ravenhill Field.

The Pioneers scored in the 24th minute of the first half on a touch from Ivona Babic to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.

PhilaU forward Trisha Sileo tied it up 1-1 in the 24th minute of the second half, on a pass back from defender Brittany MacDonald, but CWP's Jackie Sousa scored in the 15th minute to make it 2-1.

PhilaU caught a lucky break at 8:32 remaining in the second half as Sileo took a hard shot that caromed off the goalie to a CWP player back to the goalie and into the net to tie it at 2-2.

Sophomore PhilaU goalie Kelli Kowalewski had 10 saves in 90 minutes for the Rams, while CWP's Allie Weiser made 11 stops for the Pioneers.

The Rams return to action at Ravenhill Field on Saturday (9/18) vs. Caldwell College at 12:00 p.m. in CACC action.
