Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's tennis team (1-1) picked up a 5-4 victory over the NCAA Division I La Salle University Explorers (3-1) on Saturday afternoon at the Abraham J. Salaman'58 Courts.

Singles wins came at #1 Manoli Sgouros, #2 Kyle Burke and #5 Seppi Hutter.  Huttter banged out a grueling three-setter 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 over La Salle's Knaster.

In doubles, the #2 team of Hutter and Tom McAvoy beat Donovan/Kosich 8-2 and the #3 pair of Ryan Christopher and Eric Guerrero fought to an 8-5 win over Selman/LaBate.

The Rams head to Adelphi tomorrow (9/26) for a 1:00 p.m. non-conference match.
