Box Score PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University men's tennis team was swept by visiting Concordia (N.Y.) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon on the Abraham Salaman Tennis Courts.
Philadelphia is now 8-10 overall and 3-2 against the CACC. Concordia improves to 10-2 overall, 3-0 in conference play.
The highlight of the match for the Rams was senior Kyle Burke (Wakefield, R.I./South Kingston) in the No. 1 singles match. Facing Andrej Boldarev--the 10th-ranked player in Division II—, Burke won the first set 6-3 before falling in the final two 6-1, 1-0 (10-4).
Philadelphia travels to Rider for a non-conference match on Thursday, April 11 at 3 p.m.
