Box Score PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's soccer team had its winning streak stopped at three with a 1-0 loss to visiting LIU Post in a non-conference match Monday afternoon on Ravenhill Field.
Philadelphia is now 10-3-1 overall this season, while LIU Post improves to 11-1-1 and extends its unbeaten streak to 12.
The match was scoreless until the 90th minute when Susanna Vistnes found the back of the net with 41 seconds left in regulation. Lauren Bellone found an open Vistnes in the penalty area with a pass from the left side of the net. After receiving the pass, Vistnes poked the ball into a wide open net for the match-winner.
Philadelphia keeper Courtney Shaw (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) made four saves in a losing effort. The Pioneers' Hreffie Agnarsdottir recorded five saves in the shutout.
LIU Post owned a slim 11-9 shot advantage.
Philadelphia heads to Mercy for a non-conference match on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
