GAME ONE
The Rams used small ball to jump out to a 1-0 second-inning lead. Third baseman Meghan Loughery started the inning with an infielder single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by first baseman Mollie Burrell. After a single by left fielder Shannon Weaver moved Loughery to third, right fielder Renee Karakera (Schaumsburg, Ill./Schaumburg) brought Loughery home with a RBI fielder's choice.
Concordia used a Kalya Luken sacrifice bunt and a Philadelphia error to tie the score in the fourth. With Victoria Vickerman on first with a walk, Luken laid down the bunt to move Vickerman to second. Vickerman ran to third as no Ram was covering the base. Second baseman Meaghan Lewis (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) threw the ball to third, still with no one there, to allow Vickerman to come home.
The Clippers used another error to score twice with two outs in the sixth and take a 3-1 lead. Carly Mertens hit a fly ball to right field which was dropped by Karakera. The drop brought home Caitlyn Callas and Vickerman.
Led by two-hit games from catcher Stephanie Martin, Loughery, and Weaver, Philadelphia outhit Concordia 9-3. Vickerman, Mertens, and Hannah Rubasky had one hit each for the Clippers.
Rubasky was the winning pitcher, allowing the one run on nine hits and striking out two in a complete-game win (6-7). Relief pitcher Kasia Smith (Waddell, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) gave up two unearned runs and two walks in one inning to take the loss (7-6).

First baseman Gabrielle Brown (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) doubled the advantage in the second with a double to center that brought Burrell, who singled one at-bat earlier, home from first to score the team's second run.
Concordia got both runs back in its half of the second thanks to RBI singles from Mertens and Amanda Ramirez.
Lewis allowed Philadelphia to regain the lead, 3-2, in the fourth with a RBI ground out. The Rams tacked on two more runs in the sixth on RBI base hits from Lewis and pitcher Samantha Abromavage (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Jefferson Twp.).
