Box Score MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Philadelphia University men's tennis team suffered a 5-4 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss to Post on Sunday afternoon.
The No. 1 doubles tandem of Nicolas Affolter (Freienbach, Switzerland/Kantonsschule Ausserschwz) and Celso de Vera Rehberger (Oviedo, Spain/Santa Maria del Naranco) picked up Philadelphia's (7-7, 2-1 CACC) first point with an 8-4 triumph over Peter Fanous and Nicholas Tadros. The win evens the duo's record at 7-7.
In singles play, Affolter came from a set down to knock off Tadros in the No. 2 flight, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, for his 10th win of the season and the Rams' second point of the match.
Jacobo Atri (Mexico City, Mexico/Colegio Hebreo Monte Sinai, AC) picked up a 6-3, 6-4 victory in No. 3 singles against Fanous. Nail Rachidi (Meknes, Morocco/Emile Anouar) remained perfect in singles (5-0) action with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Vladyslav Dyenyezhka at No. 6.
Post improves to 4-7 and 2-1 in CACC play.
