Box Score PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University men's tennis team had its 2017 season come to an end after a 5-0 loss to Chestnut Hill in the semifinal round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament on Saturday morning.
Chestnut Hill claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-2. Oskar Haedicke and Luis Molina Megias played at No. 1 for the Rams, while Sean DeBlasio and Jacobo Atri were the No. 2 team.
Felix Andre and Antoine Gautier scored Chestnut Hill's third point with an 8-1 win over Liviu Trifoi and Joseph Sison in the No. 3 doubles match.
Jonathan Ducretot defeated Atri 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles match to move the Griffins within one point of the CACC Tournament final.
Haedicke and Kohler went three sets at No. 1. Kohler won the first set by a 6-4 score and Haedicke stormed back in the second set, 6-2, to set the match. Kohler won the match and with a 6-1 win in the final set.
Philadelphia ends the season with a 10-8 overall record.
