PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University men's cross country team won its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title since 2017, and fourth total, at the CACC Championships held at Belmont Plateau on Sunday morning.
The Rams claimed first place with 42 points on the 8K course, topping second-place Georgian Court by 21 points. The Lions had the top individual finisher but Jefferson followed with three runners before another GCU harrier came across the line. Overall, the Rams placed five runners in the top 15 for All-CACC honors, tying the program record.
Jefferson's victory came after the Ram women also captured the team title. It is the fourth time in school history that Jefferson has swept the men's and women's cross country championships.
