ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback at Dominican (N.Y.) on Friday afternoon, dropping the Rams to 0-3 on the season.
GAMEPLAY
The first half was a tight battle between the squads, with the Chargers producing four shots compared to Jefferson's three. The Rams had a slight 2-1 edge in corner kicks. Neither team was able to beat the goalkeeper and the match remained scoreless into the second half.
Dominican controlled play in the second, outshooting the Rams by a 7-2 count. The Chargers also held the advantage in corner kicks, 5-2. It was a corner kick that produced the lone goal of the game with Dominican capitalizing on an opportunity in the 54
th minute. The Charger defense limited Jefferson to two shots the rest of the way.
