Four Rams Placed on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team had four players named to the All-East Region team from United Soccer Coaches.
Alexa Callahan was named to the First Team, Devin Sullivan and Carly Yeager earned Second Team nods, and Liv Riddel rounded it out on the Third Team.
Callahan earned All-CACC First Team honors while being on the D2CCA All-Region Second Team as well. The freshman led the team with 11 goals on the year, putting her second in the CACC. Callahan also won CACC Rookie of the Year as well as being on the All-CACC First Team, starting in 15 of her 18 game appearances this season.
Sullivan takes her second USC Second Team nod while having her third straight All-CACC First Team honors as she concluded her season putting a veteran presence in the midfield once more. She was second on the team with six goals while leading as she had eight assists. Sullivan takes another All-Region nomination as she was on the D2CCA All-Region Second Team this year as well, her fourth career All-Region honors.
Yeager joins Sullivan on the Second-Team, her second All-Region placement as she was on the D2CCA All-Region First-Team this year. The CACC Defensive Player helped anchor a defense that allowed 1.21 goals-per-game, 10.1 shots-per-game, and registered seven shutouts on the season. Yeager also joined Sullivan, Callahan, and Riddel on All-CACC First Team this season as well.
Riddel takes her first All-Region in her career as she started all 19 games for the Rams. The CACC Goalkeeper of the Year had 81 saves on the season while only allowing 23 goals, posting seven shutouts alongside the Jefferson defense. The junior also earned her first All-CACC First Team nod as well this year.
The four Rams helped Jefferson go 13-4-3 on the year, finishing first in the CACC regular season standing, while making the CACC Quarterfinals and their fourth straight NCAA appearance.
