Men's Soccer Falls to Goldey-Beacom College 2-0  

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (8-5-2) (3-4-1) competed against Goldey-Beacom College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Tuesday, October 22. The Rams fell behind 2-0 to the Lighting.  
 

WHAT HAPPENED 
 

• Goldey-Beacom starts off strong with a goal in the first 5 minutes from a collective effort by the team  

• Liam Stijelja gets in on the action with a shot to the bottom right, saved by Jamel Yasin 

• The defensive battle continues with John Nelson saving a bottom right shot from the Lightings Dominique Ojeil  

• Shots from both Tommy Harmon and Marco Sentore keep the Rams offense active as they try to get a goal of their own moving through the first half  

• Harmon again taking a bottom right shot on goal in the 22:55 minute, that Yasin is ready to save  

• Paul Nedeoglo also wanting a piece of the action takes a shot on goal, saved by Yasin  

• Nelson stands strong for the Rams defense saving a shot from Daniel Granado, ending the first half with the Lighting still up 1-0 

• Sean Stackhouse has a strong start to the second half with a shot on goal saved by Yasin, and a top right shot missed out 

• Goldey-Beacom continues to fight and claim their second goal of the match at the 78:53 minute, scored by Pedro Maia, assisted by Sam Ball  

• Gianluca Calvosa quickly claps back with a shot on goal, saved again by Yasin  

• Nelson again with a save after Ogun Unal takes a final shot for the Lighting 

• The match concludes with Goldey-Beacom on top 2-0
