Men's Tennis Ranked Second in East Region, Faces Adelphi in First Round
INDIANAPOLIS – Thomas Jefferson University men's tennis team was put as the second ranked team in the East Region in the NCAA Tournament as the NCAA Selection Committee announced Monday night when it unveiled its field of 48 teams. The First Round matchup will be at Legacy Tennis Courts on Monday, May 13 at 12 p.m.
The Rams (17-5) makes their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh overall. Jefferson won their third straight CACC Championship after beating Chestnut Hill 4-1 before falling to Queens College 4-1 in the CACCxECC Finals. The Rams will take on Adelphi University in the First Round.
The Panthers (13-7) won the NE10 Championship for the first time in program history with a 4-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire University. This is Adelphi's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016. The Rams hold an advantage over the Panthers in their career matchups with a 6-4 advantage over Adelphi. Jefferson has won the last three matchup against Adelphi, with the last victory coming a year prior as the Rams beat the Panthers 7-0 on February 25, 2023.
