Men's Soccer Opens CACC Action with Win Over Georgian Court
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson's men's soccer (4-0-1) (1-0) competed in their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Tuesday where they hosted Georgian Court University (0-4) (0-1) at Ravenhill Field. The Rams defeated the Lions (3-2) to kick off their conference play.
WHAT HAPPENED

The Lions started out strong with a goal in the first ten minutes, but the Rams answered with a goal by Mateo Infante in the next five minutes.

For the remainder of the first half the Rams and the Lions fought back and forth, until the Lions scored again in the 28th minute.

John Nelson had five saves by the end of the first half, keeping the Rams defense strong. While Sotirios Gkosdis trailed with only two.

Diego Guzman kicked off the second half with a goal in the first 45 seconds, assisted by previous goal scorer Mateo Infante.

Guzman takes the lead for the Rams with a second goal, this time assisted by Robert Arnason to put the Rams up 3-2.

The Rams held strong for the remainder of the second half, claiming their first conference victory of the 2024 season.
