Men's Soccer Ends Match with Tie at Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. –Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (4-3-2, 2-1-2) scored an early goal in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup against the University of Bridgeport (3-3-3, 3-0-1). The Rams weren't able to hold off the Purple Knights goal late in the contest, resulting in a 1-1 tie.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Sean Stackhouse got Jefferson ahead with a goal at the 14th minute mark off a corner kick. Neither team would be able to make a goal the rest of the first half
- The Purple Knights went on the offense, shooting 14 times during the second half. They were able to find the net at the 76th minute to tie it up
- The Rams took 3 shot attempts the rest of the second half. They were able to not allow another Bridgeport goal, ending the day with a 1-1 tie
- JR Sexton made four saves on the day as he has his second tie on the year
