Women's Volleyball Wins Five-Set Thriller Against Dominican on Senior Day
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's volleyball (10-12, 6-7) competed in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday against Dominican University of New York (7-14, 4-8). The Rams went five sets and left the Gallagher Center with a 3-2 win over the Chargers as Jefferson celebrated their seniors on Senior Day.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson got within four points of Dominican, but the Chargers went on an 8-1 run to take the first set 25-14
- The Rams went to take set two 25-21. Both teams went to trade each set in the third, Dominican won 25-20, with Jefferson earning a 25-22 victory in the fourth to go in the final set tied at 2-2
- After being down 5-3, the Rams went on their own 8-1 run that helped the earn the 15-11 fifth set win and escaped the day a 3-2 victory
