GETTYSBURG, PA – Thomas Jefferson University men's golf competed in the West Chester Battlefield Classic on Monday and Tuesday. The Rams produced their best single round as a team in program history on day two to help themselves earn third place at the event.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• The Rams competed on day one, having a 317 as a team. This put them at seventh place for the event.
• Four Rams had nine birdies throughout the first day, with freshman George Siozos and junior Jaden Minter having three apiece. Jack Morrissey had two while freshman Corey Abod earned one. Sophomore Thomas Baschoff tied for third on the team with an 82 score
• Day two allowed Jefferson to slowly get to their groove, producing the best single day score the program has ever had since statistics were kept from 2008-09
• Jefferson had 16 birdies on day two, nine on the front 9 and seven on the back 9. Morrissey delivered an eagle on hole 13 to get his score at a 77 on the day
• Minter had not only his best showing on the golf course during day two, but also the best single game a Ram has ever delivered as he went -4 with a 68 to earn first place in round two and the entire tournament
• Minter had five birdies while Baschoff earned four. Morrissey had three birdies alongside his eagle. Abod and Siozos delivered two apiece

Jefferson will get set to head to the White Clay Creek Country Club on Thursday, September 11 for the CACC Preview. This is a warm up for all Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team as they CACC Championships will be played at this golf course on October 5 to October 7.
