Men's Soccer Blanks Shippensburg
SHIPPENSBURG, PA – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (2-1) stayed on the road as they took on Shippensburg University (1-1). The Rams ended up getting all three of their goals in the second half as they walked away from their Wednesday match with a 3-0 victory over the Raiders.
WHAT HAPPENED
- First half gave a defensive performance by both teams, with only five shots being produces apiece.
- Second half saw more action, with Jefferson not letting the period go quietly on their side. Diego Guzman sprung to action and got the first goal of the game at 50:05.
- Parker Smith followed suit not long after, getting his goal at the 58th minute with Miles Hood assisting him. Zayd Akhtar iced the game as he scored at the 79th minute off a Michael Cancelliere assist
- Jefferson outshot Shippensburg 14-11 on the day. The Rams also produced more corners (7) than the Raiders (5).
- Lucca Bellina made four saves in the win
