Men's Soccer Falls Late to Post
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (2-4, 0-1) held strong with Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Post University (1-0-3, 1-0) throughout nearly 70 minutes of action, but the Eagles got a goal in the second half that dropped the Rams 1-0 in their conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Rams and Eagles both were physical, forcing the other team to take shots only when possible, which was not often in the first half. Both teams only had four shots each. Neither attempt made it into the net
- The second half saw Jefferson be more aggressive, taking seven shots compared to Post's three
- The Eagles capitalized on their attempt, making it into the net at the 70th minute
- The Rams looked to get back in it, but were unable to make their shots as they fell to Post 1-0
