Men's Basketball Stumbles at Chestnut Hill
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball (9-8, 5-5) fell behind as much as 18 points and got within three to Chestnut Hill College (7-10, 5-5) but could not secure the comeback as the Rams fell 95-87 to the Griffins in Tuesday evening Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition.
WHAT HAPPENED
- After an 8-8 beginning for both teams, the Rams had a 9-4 run and went up by five early in the game. The Griffins responded with an 11-0 run to secure the lead that they would never relinquish the rest of the game. Chestnut Hill led as much as 18 points in the first half. The Rams cut the lead down and trailed by 12 points at the break
- Jefferson came back in the second half, pushing a 19-10 run that had them trail by three points with 12:06 to go. The Griffins responded by scoring 10 straight points and putting their lead back to double digits, leading the Rams as much as 18 in the game. The Rams looked to close the gap but could only get as close as seven points as Jefferson dropped their CACC contest to Chestnut Hill 95-87
- Jeremiah Dorsey led the Rams with 22 points on the night. Cosby Napoleon (12) Moustapha Sanoh (11), and Jahmare Memphis (10) joined him as they all had double digit points. Sanoh recorded seven rebounds while Dorsey and Matt McCool dished out four assists apiece. Kamal Lee led all scorers with a career-high 25 points for Chestnut Hill. They start their rematches on Saturday, January 24 as the Rams take on Felician University at 3:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Center. Jefferson fell in their first match to the Golden Falcons 81-66 on November 25, 2025.
