ORANGEBURG, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2026) – Six different Rams found the back of the net as the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team defeated host Dominican University of New York, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams matched their season high in scoring -- they scored six against Lincoln University earlier this month -- improving to 9-1-2 overall and 8-0 in the CACC with their eighth consecutive win.
Senior Dillan Sorino (Pennsauken, N.J. / Camden Catholic) opened scoring in the 30th minute, heading home a corner from freshman Tessa Hughes (Warrington, Pa. / Central Bucks South). Senior Kyra Lesko (Pennsburg, Pa. / Upper Perkiomen) doubled the advantage in the 38th minute before sophomore Isa Geoghan (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan) converted off a pass from senior Alexa Callahan (West Chester, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) to send Jefferson into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
Junior Izzy Alexandre (Brighton, N.Y. / Brighton) kept the offense rolling after the break, scoring from the right side of the box in the 49th minute. Just 79 seconds later, she supplied the cross for sophomore Annika Jurik (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Vista) to extend the lead to five.
Junior Ella Ballow (Phoenixville, Pa. / Phoenixville) completed the scoring in the 85th minute off an assist from sophomore Terri Morgan (Colts Neck, N.J. / Colts Neck).
Jefferson's defense was equally effective, allowing nary a shot on goal as rookie goalkeeper Ava Brochon (Bensalem, Pa. / The Pennington School) earned the shutout -- her fifth in six tries. When all was said and done, the Rams finished with a 15-4 shooting advantage, placing 11 attempts on target.
Head Coach Michelle Jacquette and the Rams will be back at Ravenhill Field to host Holy Family University (5-2-1 CACC) on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
