PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (17-10, 11-8) fought back and forth with Caldwell University (20-7, 13-6) but ultimately fell 48-45 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action. During the game, Emily Spratt reached 1,000 career points during the contest.

WHAT HAPPENED

  • Both teams had their defense show in the contest, with both teams accumulating less than 30 shooting percentage on the day

  • After a tied 12-12 first half, the Rams outscored the Cougars 16-13 to own a three point lead at the break

  • Caldwell kept up with Jefferson and had the game tied at 42-42 with six minutes left in the game. A layup and going 1-2 at the free throw line made it a three-point lead for the Rams
