Men's Basketball Season Ends Against Dominican (N.Y.)
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball (16-12) hosted Dominican University of New York (14-15) in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Quarterfinals on Tuesday evening. The Rams were down in the first half and fought within three points in the second but ultimately fell 88-71 to the Chargers.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson fell behind early in the first as they faced a 21-7 deficit nearly halfway through the first half. The Rams rallied and got within two points before Dominican went on a 14-10 run that had them up by six at the break
- Jefferson began to rally in the second half as they cut the Chargers lead down to one point with 14:10 left in the contest
- The Rams were unable to close in on that close of a gap as Dominican went on a 36-19 run to end with a 88-71 victory over Jefferson
- Jeremiah Dorsey completed the game with 21 points and seven assists. Jahmare Memphis followed behind with 16 points
- Koi D. Kirk Jr scored 24 points with Chance Morrish adding 21 points behind him. Javel Cherry earned double digit points with 13
