Richardson Helps Rams to 3-2 Win over Bloomfield

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University men's soccer team (10-6-3, 6-3-1 CACC) handed the Bloomfield College Deacons (10-7-1, 7-2-1 CACC) just their second conference loss in a 3-2 win on Friday afternoon at Ravenhill Field. 

Junior Robert Richardson (Warwick, RI/ Berkeley Institute) led the charge, scoring two goals, including the game-winner.

In the first half sophomore Kyle Altenau (West Long Branch, NJ/ Shore Regional) gave the Rams a 1-0 edge just 13 minutes into regulation, assisted by sophomore Mike Mousaw (Marmora, NJ/ Ocean City).

The Deacons tied it up 1-1 just ten minutes later as BC's Evans Tageo scored his tenth goal of the season. 

Richardson netted his first goal for the Rams off a direct kick from senior Nick White (Tulsa, OK/ Booker T. Washington) to make it 2-1. 

In the second half the Deacons made scored to even it at 2-2 with a goal from Luis Perez, but PhilaU's Richardson got his second score of the day with a header off a corner kick from junior Sean Campbell (Westbury, NY/ L.I. Lutheran). 

Senior goalie Charles Custer (Cinnaminson, NJ/ Cinnaminson) had six saves in the win. 

The Rams will play their final regular season match on Sunday, November 2nd vs. Lincoln University on 12:00 p.m.
