West Point, NY- The Philadelphia University
men's soccer team knocked off Division I Army 3-2 on the road
Tuesday night. Junior transfer Svetozar
Gladic (Novi Sad, Serbia/Sacred Heart) had quite a day-
scoring both the go-ahead and game-winning goals.
Sophomore midfielder Mike Mousaw (Marmora, NJ/
Ocean City) scored the first goal for the Rams early in the second
period, driving home a rebounded blocked shot from Army keeper A.J.
Glubzinski (one save) to tie the match 1-1.
Gladic was just heating up at 55:55 in the second period,
drilling the go-ahead goal from 20 yards out. With a 2-1
lead, Army fought back, scoring on a header at the 78:08 mark to
even the keel 2-2.
With less than five minutes left in regulation, Gladic headed
the game-winner into the back of the net, assisted by sophomore
midfielder/forward Spencer Reiter (Melbourne, FL/Satellite).
Senior goalkeeper Charles Custer (Cinnaminson, NJ/ Cinnaminson)
had four saves for the Rams.
Phila U. will travel next to Wheeling Jesuit University on
