University Rams (4-3-2, 0-2-0 CACC) got their second straight win
in a non-conference victory over the Columbia Union College
Pioneers (7-5) on Monday afternoon.
Junior Kris Perez (Parlin, NJ/ CBA) scored just
four minutes into regulation on an open net, assisted by sophomore
Greig Edwards (Freeport, Trinidad).
Ram sophomore Spencer Reiter (Melbourne, FL/
Satelitte) scored the game-winner at the 32:47 mark to push the
lead to 2-0.
The Pioneers threatened at the 22:00 mark in the second half, as
Mohammed Kamara scored to inch closer 2-1.
Phila U. junior Svetozar Gladic (Novi Sad,
Serbia) had several shots with the clock ticking down, but the
score would remain 2-1 for a Ram
victory.
Senior goalie Charles Custer (Cinnaminson, NJ/
Cinnaminson) had two saves in goal for the Rams, while Pioneer
keeper Jonathon Uribe had 12 saves for CUC.
Phila U. will travel to Queens College on Wednesday, October
1st for a 4:00 p.m. match.
