Eight Soccer Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
GREENWOOD, IN – Thomas Jefferson University placed eight soccer players on the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team announced on November 25.
Paul Nedeoglo and
Kai Mangahas were recognized for the men's team while
Nikki Dedes,
Carly Yeager,
Gianna Garozzo,
Kyra Lesko,
Alexa Callahan, and
Avery Nogami got the nod for the women's team. This is the third time that Yeager has made the CSC All-District Team while Dedes, Garozzo, and Lesko make it for the second time.
To be eligible for Academic All-District accolades, student-athletes must be in at least their second year at their institution, appear in 90 percent of their team's contests or started in 66% of teams total games played, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Each institution is capped at six honorees per gender.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on December 16 for men and December 17 for women.
