Philadelphia, PA-The Philadelphia University
men's soccer team (9-5-1, 7-2-1 CACC) fell 2-1 to the
visiting Dominican College Chargers (10-3-2, 6-2-2 CACC) on
Saturday afternoon at Ravenhill Field.
The day's events also included a senior day ceremony,
where six seniors were honored. They included: John
Noriega, Mike Mousaw, Wojciech
Sliwinski, Ryan Flaherty, Kyle
Altenau and Greig Edwards.
In the first half, DC's John Langdon scored for the
Charger's just nine minutes in on an assist from Alejandro
Monsalve.
In the second half, a foul in the box resulted in another
Charger goal, as DC's Alex Rodier scored on the ensuing
penalty kick just eight minutes in to take a 2-0 lead.
PhilaU got their goal on a penalty kick at 74:46 by junior
forward Lamin Sidibeh.
PhilaU freshman goalie Alex Heston had four
saves in goal while DC's Brandon Heembrock made 10 stops.
The Rams play next on Monday (10/25) at home vs. St. Thomas
Aquinas at 2:30 p.m. at Ravenhill
Field.
