Men's Soccer Runs to 2-0 Win, Beating Nyack

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University (4-5, 2-3 CACC) won their second straight men's soccer game in a 2-0 blanking of Nyack College (4-4-1, 1-3-1 CACC) on Saturday afternoon at Ravenhill Field.

Senior midfielder Ryan Purnell scored both goals for PhilaU, as he notched the game-winner at 30:19 on a pass from senior forward Milos Racic and then the second just six minutes later unassisted.  Purnell leads the team with eight goals this season. 

The Rams outshot NC 12-9.

In goal, PhilaU sophomore goalie Alex Heston had five saves in 90 minutes of work, while NC's Adrian Ibanez made eight stops. 

The Ram's next competition will be on Tuesday (10/4) vs. Holy Family University at 4 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
