Box Score RADNOR, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's soccer team had its 2012 season ended by a 4-0 loss to Nyack in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament quarterfinal round match Wednesday morning on Cabrini College's Dixon Field.
The Rams—who earned the third seed for the conference tournament—wrap the season with an overall record of 9-6-4 and a CACC mark of 5-3-3.
Marco Likos and Nicolo Baudo each recorded a pair of goals for the Warriors (9-7-2), who advance to the semifinal round on Friday, Nov. 2.
Likos scored in the eighth and 62nd minutes with shots from the right side of the penalty area. Baudo's first goal came during the 13th minute with a shot from in close after receiving a Felix Horn chip pass.
Baudo struck again in the 54th minute after causing a turnover and then blasting a shot from 11 yards into the right side of the net.
Rams' sophomore keeper Neil Kwiatkowski (Schenectady, N.Y./ Duanesburg) posted five saves, all in the second half. Nyack's Curtis Julien did not make a save.
The Warriors outshot the Rams, 13-4, while Philadelphia owned a 5-2 corner kick edge.
