Box Score PHILADELPHIA – A strong start to the 2012 season has the Philadelphia University men's soccer team ranked eighth in the first National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division II East Region Poll of the year that was released on Tuesday.
The Rams went unbeaten opening weekend with a 1-0-1 record. Philadelphia played to a 1-1 draw with then-25th ranked University of Charleston (W. Va.) on August 30. Two days later, the Rams put together a second-half comeback to earn a 2-1 road victory against Wheeling Jesuit.
Philadelphia is one of two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) teams in the poll—Dominican (N.Y.) is the other at 10th.

Philadelphia returns to the pitch Wednesday, Sept. 5 against opponent Goldey-Beacom at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex at 3 p.m.
