Calwrie, Attamante lead men's soccer in 1-0 win at Nyack

NYACK, N.Y. – Keeper Thomas Attamante (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) made a season-high five saves and forward Ishmaiah Calwrie (Baltimore, Md./Randallstown) scored in the 48th minute to give the Philadelphia University men's soccer team a 1-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win over Nyack Saturday afternoon on Mosley Field.

With the win, Philadelphia improves to 6-3-1 overall, 3-2-1 in CACC play, and increases its unbeaten streak to five. Nyack is now 0-9-1 overall, 0-6-0 against the conference.

Calwrie's fourth goal of the season came at the 47:48 mark on the first shot of the second half. He is tied with midfielder Victor Chagonda (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. George's) and forward Dominic Rodriguez (Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken) for the team lead in goals.

Phillip Moi made five saves in the loss for the Warriors.

The Rams owned a 12-7 shot advantage.

Philadelphia returns to Ravenhill Field to face West Chester in a non-conference tilt on Monday, Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m.
