Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Four different Rams got into the goal column as the Philadelphia University men's soccer team earned a 4-0 Homecoming Day victory over visiting Bloomfield in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Saturday afternoon on Ravenhill Field.
Jordan Lynch (Brampton, Ontario/St. Marguerite d'Youville) opened the scoring at the 9:56 mark with a blast from the top of the penalty area after receiving a centering pass from Seiji Rose (Toulouse, France/Lycc Climatique et Sportif Pierrer de Coubertin) from the right side of the box. Lynch was left all alone and deposited the ball into the vacant net.
At 36:50, Philadelphia (4-3-3, 2-2-1 CACC) picked up a big advantage as Bloomfield's Tevin Blake was sent off after picking up his second yellow card of the match, forcing the Bears (5-3-2, 3-2-1 CACC) to play with 10 men.
The Rams didn't take advantage of the man-up opportunity until 69:19 when a Philadelphia player was taken down in the penalty area. Angelo Dambalmas (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) took the penalty kick and beat a frozen Jovan Stanojkovic for his fourth goal of the season and gave the Rams a 2-0 lead.
After the Dambalas goal, the Rams opened up play and controlled the contest. Juan Naranjo (N. Plainfield, N.J./N. Plainfield) made the score 3-0 when he fought through a crowd to get to an Armando Canela (Marlborough, Mass./Marlborough) free kick at the far sideline. The goal was Naranjo's second of 2015.
Jakob Passernig (Austin, Texas/Dripping Springs) closed out the scoring with his first goal since the 2012 campaign with 34 seconds left to play. Passernig broke free down the right sideline, cut into the box, and banked his sharp-angle shot off of Stanojkovic insdie the near post for the goal.
Ben Sauer (Bel Air, Md./Perry Hall Christian) preserved the clean sheet, his fifth of the year, with two saves. Stanojkovic had four stops for the Bears.
The Rams outshot the Bears 20-4.
