CAMDEN, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's basketball team has assisted with the Julius Erving Youth Basketball Experience since 2015. The event is hosted by NBA and Philadelphia 76er legend Julius Erving as part of his weekend long Julius Erving Golf Classic The first event was held at the Salvation Army Kroc Center of Philadelphia. Now the event is held at the Sixers Training Complex in Camden, N.J.

The Erving Youth Basketball Experience presented by Philadelphia 76ers is in partnership with The Salvation Army host children from the Salvation Army Center. Throughout the five years, the women's basketball team and head coach Tom Shirley have worked with the campers in small groups and led them in dribbling, passing, and shooting drills.

The Jefferson Women's Basketball team is looking forward to participating in the event with Julius Erving and the Salvation Army Kroc center of Philadelphia again in the fall.
