Philadelphia – The Thomas Jefferson University Volleyball team helped the community on and off the court during the 2019-2020 year. The lady rams worked with two organizations throughout the year. The first being the Side-Out-Foundation and the second was MANNA.
This year the Jefferson Volleyball team had their annual Dig Pink game when they hosted Georgian Court during the 2019 season. During the match the team shared information about the Side-Out-Foundation and how breast cancer affects the community. The Rams raised $1,253 for the Side-Out-Foundation that will go to help in breast cancer research.
Side-Out unites the volleyball community to impact change. Each year, tens of thousands of volleyball players, coaches and families across the country join the growing Dig Pink Movement. Together, they support the development of treatment that are giving stage IV breast cancer patients more quality time with their families and getting them closer to the day we find a cure.
