NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University's Haley Meinel was named the CACC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Meinel, the reigning CACC Defensive Player of the Year, totaled four blocks and five steals over a pair of contests last week. She also led the Rams with 22.5 points per game on 54.8% shooting, 54.5% from three-point range. In addition, Meinel grabbed 10 rebounds and dished six assists.

Meinel is the second Jefferson player to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors after Sam Yencha garnered the award on November 14.
