Three Teams Awarded with CACC Players of the Week
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced the weekly Players of the Week awards, with Thomas Jefferson University earning three players on that list. MATTEO CRESCENTE – MEN'S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Crescente recorded six saves in the Rams 2-1 conference win over Wilmington University (Del.). He had four saves in the second half to secure the victory over the Wildcats.
LIV RIDDEL – WOMEN'S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Riddel records her fourth consecutive shutout as Jefferson earned a 1-0 win over Wilmington (Del.). She had three first half saves in the game to keep the Ram's winning streak going at four in a row.
CAROLINE BOND – VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Bond had 58 assists in the Rams 2-0 victories over Goldey-Beacom College and Caldwell University. She had 22 assists on the Wednesday match against the Lightening. Bond followed that performance up with 36 assists in a sweep over the Cougars. She also had 15 digs, four kills, three service aces, and three blocks on the week.
Jefferson will get ready for competition this week as the women's soccer team heads to St. Thomas Aquinas College on Tuesday, October 3 with the game to begin at 3 p.m. while the volleyball team travels to Wilmington University (Del.) this Thursday for a 7 p.m. start time. The men's soccer team will have to wait until the end of the week when they host Caldwell this Saturday, October 7 at 2:30 p.m. for a Homecoming matchup.
