Sekagya Placed on CSC Academic All-America Third Team

AUSTIN, Texas – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer senior Imran Sekagya had his academic and athletic success recognized as the College Sports Communicators (CSC) placed him on the 2024 CSC Academic All-America Third Team for men's soccer, as announced by the office this afternoon. Sekagya is the only CACC athlete to make the CSC All-America team for men's soccer.

Sekagya becomes the second Ram in program history to make the Academic All-America team, with Val Mokrejs earning Third Team honors back in 2020. Sekagya makes the academic all-america team after starting all 18 games he appeared in for the Rams this season. He helped provide an anchor to a Rams defense that began the year 6-0-1 and pushed their way to the CACC Tournament, going to overtime to a Post team who advanced to the Sweet 16.

Sekagya was part of a Rams defense ranked fourth in the conference with 1.37 goals-against-average on the season with two NCAA Tournament qualifying teams. He helped Jefferson with creating five shutouts this season. In the classroom, Sekagya produces a 3.98 GPA in Management during his four years at Jefferson. Sekagya is a two-time CACC All-Academic Team honoree as well as taking the CACC Academic Honor Roll in FAR Award of Distinction Level (Spring 2024) and Presidents' Level (Fall 2023).
