Timko Named on D2CCA All-East Region First Team
WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The Thomas Jefferson University junior
Erik Timko gets his third straight nod to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region team as announced this afternoon.
Timko was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year this season, going back-to-back with the award as he won it last year. The junior leads the team in points-per-game (20.0), free throw percentage (87.8), and minutes-per-game (35.9). The Audubon, Pa. native help lead the Rams to their first CACC Championship title since 2019-20. Timko was named to the All-CACC Tournament Team for helping the Rams in their playoff games. He had similar stat lines at Caldwell University, having 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists against Post University and 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists against Bloomfield.
Timko will prepare with the rest of his teammates as they prepare for the NCAA Tournament this Saturday. The Rams will play at Saint Michael's University in Colchester, Vermont as Jefferson, ranked #5 in the East Region, goes against #4 Daemen University on Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m.
