Timko Takes Second Consecutive Player of the Year; Three Players on All-CACC 

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball player Erik Timko is named the CACC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and was one of three Rams' to be on the All-CACC Team, as announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on Tuesday morning. 

Timko is named to the First Team for the third straight year. Antonin Kemkeng joins the All-CACC team for the third straight year, making the Second Team this season. Ahmed Barba-Bey rounds out the All-CACC team for Jefferson as he was placed on the Third Team. 

Timko is the sixth player to take the Player of the Year award and the first Ram to win it the second time, winning it in back-to-back seasons. He is second in the CACC with 20.4 points-per-game this season and in three-point percentage as he shot 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. Timko also is second in the conference as he had a 86.4 free throw percentage. He had 18 20+ point performances this season and one 30+ scoring game on the year. Timko was named CACC Player of the Week three times this season. 

Kemkeng ranks third in the conference with 8.4 rebounds-per-game (rpg) and fifth with 211 total rebounds. He leads the CACC in shooting percentage, shooting 62.3% on the floor, scoring 15.1 ppg this year that has him second on the team. Kemkeng had six double doubles this season, seven 20+ point games, and one 30+ scoring contest this season. Kemkeng was named CACC Player of the Week once this season. He reached his 1,000 point in his career this season on January 24 against Holy Family. 

Barba-Bey leads the CACC in assists (125), assists-per-game (4.5), and assist/turnover ratio (2.66). He is third on the team with 14.3 ppg and is 11th in the CACC shooting 46.4% on the floor. Barba-Bey earned CACC Defensive Player of the Week honors once this season. 

Jefferson (20-8) captured their fifth consecutive CACC South Division regular season title and is the division's top seed in the CACC Tournament.
